Exploring How Discomfort Can Benefit Your OD Work & Coaching

Discomfort is something both new and seasoned OD Practitioners experience. Our response or reaction to it can impact our ability to stay present during work with co-workers and clients to varying degrees. In this experiential session, Holly Martinson will be guiding us through discussion about how we each define and experience discomfort as well as offering a few practices to help us discern our discomfort. Holly will offer concepts from mindfulness to support the process of identifying triggers for discomfort and for befriending it as a tool to inform and continue to develop self-awareness and presence as OD professionals. Through small group discussion, there will be an opportunity to discuss how discomfort has impacted your work and to use insight and understanding to reflect on what you might do differently in the future.
