Topic: Technology and the Future of Work

Description: Leading organizations are pursuing technological transformations at a rate never seen before. Transformational technologies such as AI, Digital Customer Experience, Blockchain, IoT, Cloud, etc., are fundamentally changing how work gets done, who does it, and how it influences our world. They cut across many different organizational levels, and challenge the primary assumptions and models upon which many organizations are currently structured and how work happens.

During this session, Salima Hemani, will facilitate a discussion around the unique organizational impacts of these types of transformational technologies in the workplace today. We will look at insights from latest research into the future of work, leading theories and do a deeper dive into what organizations embarking on the adoption of these technologies can do to:

          • Develop strategies for designing and building optimal structures, teams and reporting relationships that enable organizations to become more networked and agile.

          • Coach organizational leaders and middle-managers on leadership techniques that create conditions to “fail fast”, empower people to be more creative in their work and collaborate across boundaries.
