Richmond SIG:

Topic: This is Your Brain at Work

How do you learn? What leads you to have certain thoughts? Can you train your brain to be more effective? Can you re-wire your leadership neurons?

Your brain is the most powerful tool at your disposal. Yet most of us don’t know how to enable our brains to reach our full potential.  Recently, molecular biologists, neural scientists, and motivational experts have gone deeper in attempting to understand how our brain works. With the increasing need to motivate organizations filled with “Knowledge Workers,” OD professionals have a new challenge ahead…engaging the brains of today and tomorrow!

At the next OD meeting, Karin and Jim Zezza of Side Tilt consulting will be sharing highlights from the following books:  Brain Rules by John Medina, Apply Brain Research by David Rock, and Drive by Daniel Pink.

Join us on Monday, November 14th for an interactive discussion around understanding (and even training) your brain to be more effective at work. We’ll also consider a new approach to engaging the individuals that you lead and coach.
