CBODN 'In The Know' Book Discussion

Topic:  The Road Back to You (Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile)

Description: This session is an interactive discussion around the key principles and applications of “The Road Back To You.”

Ignorance is bliss―except in self-awareness.

What you don't know about yourself can hurt you and your relationships―and maybe even how you make your way in the world. It can also keep you in the shallows with God. Do you want help figuring out who you are and why you're stuck in the same ruts?

The Enneagram is an ancient personality type system with an uncanny accuracy in describing how human beings are wired, both positively and negatively.

Funny and filled with stories, this book allows you to understand more about each of the Enneagram types, keeping you turning the pages long after you have read the chapter about yourself. Beginning with changes you can start making today, the wisdom of the Enneagram can help you get on the road that will take you further along into who you really are―leading you into places of spiritual discovery you would never have found on your own, and paving the way to the wiser, more compassionate person you want to become.

Facilitator:    Lindsay Fields

Bio: Lindsay is more than a leadership coach; she is a crusader for authenticity. She knows the bravery required to go to the dark places of our heart. To journey past the veneer of success, and forge into the secret place where courage is born.

She knows because she’s been there herself, and has come back to mentor, coach and cheerlead others on the voyage to vulnerability.

Lindsay boldly and compassionately helps leaders face the fears that stand in the way of their greatness. She has seen the struggle with perfectionism that prevents gems of brilliance from shining forth in the boardroom. She has watched teams flounder because the person with the most innovative solution didn’t speak up for fear of being seen as arrogant.

Her clarion call to quiet leaders and subject matter experts is this:

Learn to be visible. Learn to be confident. Learn to speak up and play the role you were born to play.

Because the world needs you.
