Topic: Organizational Development for the Small Business Owner
Facilitators: Patrick Lee & Suzette Langley
Program Details: Small businesses are a unique entity, and frequently operate by a different set of rules. These rules are often defined by the owner's motivations, goals, and behaviors, which means the business's success hinges on aligning the owner's mindset with their stated objectives. Spark Business Institute employs a comprehensive approach encompassing psychology, philosophy, business management, and organizational development principals to identify where small businesses are on the Great Small Business Plateau(SM) and how to rise to the next level. Using tools such as the Quality of Motivation Assessment, Creatrix, and other personality assessments, we challenge the owner to sync their mindset with their stated objectives and understand what their goals mean in terms of personal behavior change.
Patrick Lee is an organizational performance consultant who works with small businesses and their owners to increase the business's capacity by applying organizational development principles usually employed by larger scale organizations. In addition to facilitating small business advisory groups, he leads strategic planning sessions, retreats and workshops, and coaches small business owners. He is certified in several assessments including DiSC, SkillScan, and Quality of Motivation. Patrick holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from Earlham College, a M.A. in Management with concentration in Corporate Management & Business Communications from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. He is certified in Career Driver On-Line assessments, certified in Quality of Motivation assessments, and an authorized Partner for Wiley DiSC Profiles.
