Topic: Optimizing Talent in the Federal Workforce
Facilitator: Alan Lee Myers
Alan is presently a leadership and organizational development specialist, and Director of the Center for Performance Excellence in the Office of Human Resources, Department of Health and Human Services. He leads and directs a variety of leadership, organization, and career development programs. He is also leading a government-wide training for internal coaches, the Federal Internal Coach Boot Camp. He has over 26 years as an internal consultant, trainer, and has several years of experience as a supervisor. Alan earned two Master of Arts degrees in counseling psychology and in instructional systems development. Presently, he is a candidate for a doctorate in leadership and management. Alan holds a certification by the International Coach Federation as a “Professional Certified Coach.” He is a Certified Master Trainer for Achieve Global leadership programs
Program Description:
Many OD practitioners are finding that expanding their competency into coaching enables them to have an additional resource available to support their clients. In this webinar, Alan will draw on his extensive experience to show how coaching has helped leaders effectively manage change and improve organizational effectiveness. He will also share how he has used coaching for leadership developments programs and more recently, he has been the leader of the Federal Internal Coach Boot Camp. This new and innovative program has enabled the federal government to train coaches and expand coaching services throughout the federal government.
