Session—"Embodied Change: The Power of Somatic Movement in Leadership and OD" What if your greatest leadership insights were already in your body? In this highly interactive session, we’ll explore how embodied learning—and specifically dance—can unlock deeper awareness, adaptability, and connection. Using Latin-inspired movement and guided reflection, participants will experience how somatic intelligence can be applied to organizational development, team facilitation, and leadership. We’ll explore live examples, including a recent case where a regional nonprofit leadership team in the DC area used somatic practices to break through communication silos during a major transition. Through movement-based metaphors and real-time experiences of leading and following, participants will learn how presence, resistance, co-creation, and emotional attunement show up not just in our minds—but in our bodies. As the role of Generative AI in organizations expands, this session invites a powerful counterbalance: reconnecting to human intuition, embodied communication, and relational presence—capacities that no algorithm can replicate. Absolutely no dance experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity, willingness to move, and openness to learning something new about how you lead and connect.
