COFFEE & CONNECTIONS

A relaxed gathering for OD and OD-adjacent professionals to meet, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships.

Coffee & Connections is CBODN’s informal social hour designed to bring together organization development practitioners, change leaders, coaches, consultants, HR professionals, facilitators, and other adjacent professionals who are passionate about making organizations better for the people in them.

Whether you’re a longtime member, new to the network, or simply curious about the field of OD, Coffee & Connections offers an easy, welcoming way to plug into the CBODN community. Come as you are, enjoy a beverage, and connect with others who share your interest in human-centered organizations, thoughtful leadership, and positive change.

What to Expect

Coffee & Connections is intentionally low-pressure and conversation-friendly. It’s a chance to:

  • Meet fellow professionals in a casual setting

  • Share what you’re working on and learn what others are exploring

  • Swap insights, ideas, and resources

  • Strengthen relationships across the broader OD and change community

  • Find encouragement, inspiration, and possible collaborators

There’s no formal agenda, no required expertise, and no need to “perform.” Just real conversation with real people who care about doing meaningful work.

Why Attend?

In a world where so much happens behind screens, Coffee & Connections creates space for genuine human interaction. It reflects CBODN’s commitment to Connection and Community by fostering an environment where members and the wider community can build relationships that are authentic, supportive, and energizing.

And while the tone is relaxed, the impact can be powerful. Through the conversations sparked at Coffee & Connections, participants often leave with new ideas, fresh perspectives, and practical inspiration that supports Learning & Growth!

We alternate bi-monthly in DC, Maryland and Virginia venues. If you are interested in supporting more gatherings like these, or are willing to “co-host” an event at a location near you, reach out to Kristy Simmons using our Contact Form

Why It Matters

Great work starts with great relationships. If you value thoughtful conversation, professional connection, and learning in a welcoming setting, this program is for you.
