In this forward-looking session, we explore how coaches and organizational development practitioners can thoughtfully integrate AI tools into their practices without losing the relational core that makes the work so transformative. Drawing from real-world experiments, case examples, and collaborations with early adopters - including developers of ethical AI coaching bots - the speaker will illuminate the practical ways AI can serve as a co-pilot in designing, delivering, and scaling coaching and OD programs. We will also grapple with the big questions: How do we stay grounded in human values as the landscape evolves? What are the risks and ethical boundaries? How might generative AI impact psychological safety and human bias? And how do we prepare ourselves and our clients for the future? Whether you are skeptical, curious, or already experimenting, this session offers a space to engage in nuanced, energizing conversation about what's emerging, what’s possible, and what to watch for. Friderike Butler is an executive coach, organizational strategist, and former Director of Coaching at a mission-driven nonprofit, where she led the design and implementation of a scalable internal coaching infrastructure. As a Partner at Optify, a technology-enabled leadership development firm, she works closely with purpose-driven leaders, teams, and organizations to design and deliver programs that cultivate courageous leadership, grounded in aligned action and inner clarity. With over 20 years of experience across the public, nonprofit, and purpose-driven sectors, Friderike blends systems thinking with a deeply human approach. Her work sits at the intersection of people, process, and technology—bringing structure to complexity without losing sight of what matters most: people.
