Topic: Embodied Business: Bringing Body Awareness Into Our OD Work

Description:  From Anne Pellicciotto - We will forge ahead with our April 2 session on embodied business; but in light of coronavirus quarantine, we’ll lead the session virtually using Zoom. Please join our experiment – the program focus will be the same (or similar); though you’ll be participating from the comfort and safety of your own home. I’ll be joined by a co-facilitator, Michelle Paul Heelan from ICF who offers her virtual facilitation support to ensure we have an engaging and valuable session.

We’ll send a Zoom link to you after registration. Note that if you already registered, you must re-register via this link so we get a fresh headcount. http://cbodn.org/dcarea_od_practitioners_cop.   We look forward to seeing you there, 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thursday April 2nd.

In this session on Embodied Business, we will focus on expanding our awareness, as ODs, beyond the head/analytical elements, even beyond the heart/intuitive elements, to an awareness of the body and breath. I will demonstrate and we will practice some breath work and gentle movement; I will discuss the body awareness on personal health, creativity, and flow.  Then we will brainstorm, as a group, some of the benefits of embodied awareness to us as practitioners and to the groups we serve. In what situations would body awareness help groups open up?  What might be the challenges or barriers to bringing this element into our work? How might we overcome those challenges and bring our WHOLE selves into our work for our own and our clients' benefit?
