About the Role

The CBODN Programs Director/Chair ensures proper planning, organizing, scheduling, and oversight of CBODN monthly events, webinars, and other one-off programs and  certifications for the purpose of enhancing the CBODN value proposition by meeting members’ and target audiences’ professional needs. The role includes coordinating event promotion and various related administrative tasks.

The role ideally recruits and manages a team of volunteers that communicate with speakers, vendors, and participants; coordinate and monitor event timelines; review and analyze survey feedback, and prepare promotional materials related to the above.  The Programs director also attends and participates in board meetings for the purpose of providing updates on Evening Programs plans and goals, and to provide input on strategic organizational issues. 

Position Functions

  • Program Implementation and Infrastructure
  • Plan, coordinate and implement monthly events for the benefit of CBODN members and non-members 
  • Evaluate programs feedback and adjust plans as needed to meet members’ needs
  • Coordinate necessary equipment procurement and maintenance
  • Communicate programs status with the Board on a monthly basis

Volunteers

  • Recruit and provide training and other guidance to evening programs volunteers
  • Ensure appropriate volunteer training
  • Maintain open communication lines and schedule regular touch points with programs volunteers 

Marketing

  • Assist Marketing and Communications Director with program promotion
  • Contribute to the production of Communique’ articles and other promotional materials
  • Attend and/or present at evening programs and other scheduled events

Administration

  • Develop programs budget 
  • Maintain programs expenditures within budgeted parameters
  • Apprise the Board of program status
