CBODN QUESTION OF THE MONTH
SEPTEMBER 23rd - EVENING PROGRAM
Adding Human Performance Improvement to Your Toolkit: A Key to Ensuring Success with Your Clients
Program Description:
As organization development practitioners, we have developed expertise to enhance organizational performance and individual development. Many of us are life long learners, who continuously search for new ways to improve our effectiveness as we assist our clients. There is a body of knowledge that we can tap into that systematically incorporates the wisdom of OD and other training and development disciplines in order to improve performance by producing clear and verifiable outcomes. Human performance technology (HPT) provides both a process and numerous techniques that we can use in our work.
Join your CBODN colleagues at our September program as we explore the field of human performance technology and performance consulting. We will take a look at the major models of HPT and use a case study method to examine how we can successfully utilize the basic tenets of this rapidly emerging field in our consulting work. This highly interactive session will include a combination of discussion and theory presentation with ample opportunities for skill practice. We will conclude this session with an open dialogue on lessons learned by fellow professionals who have applied HPT to their practice.

Global Trends Research Project Overview
Are you prepared to be of service to your clients with the complexity you know is coming? Here is an opportunity for you to discern what wisdom and skill you will need to support your clients with excellence in the next several years and beyond.
CBODN is conducting research on global trends, the challenges they pose to organizational leaders, and the implications for organizational development effectiveness. As part of our research, we want to interview leaders in government, commercial, and non-profit organizations in the Washington metro area to get their perspective on these trends, understand if and how they are impacted by them and determine what type of support they need.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to interview one (or more) of their clients using a prepared script and then send us their findings. We will publish the aggregated results. This is an opportunity for you to connect with clients around strategic business issues they may be facing and open up new domains for business and learning.
Please fill out and return the Sign-Up Sheet to us. If you are interested and have questions, please contact one of the following CBODN leadership team members:
