Interested in being a Government SIG Co-Chair? CBODN is looking for a motivated and talented individual to join the current Government SIG Chair, Katie Rozner, in nurturing and growing this very important special interest group. Engaging and expanding CBODN’s government membership is a priority for 2012, and Katie could use your help in ensuring the Government SIG is able to provide as many opportunities for CBODN’s government membership as possible.
Government SIG Co-Chair is a chance for you to demonstrate your leadership skills, expand your network, and contribute to the growth and development of the CBODN government community.
Position Description: The Gov SIG chair is responsible for providing educational opportunities for the Gov SIG community through the identification and booking of speakers on a monthly basis. The position requires that the chair find and maintain relationships with government contacts within the OD community. The Leader of the Gov SIG is an active supporter of CBODN’s overall strategy and seeks to enable new opportunities for CBODN to expand its network of speakers/presenters, knowledge base and membership. SIG Description: The Government SIG hosts monthly conference calls to discuss topics or techniques relevant to the practice of OD in federal or local government.
Vision: We hold ourselves accountable as life-long learners in the field to contribute to the future growth and knowledge of government and public sector OD practices.
Mission: To share best OD practices, trends and policies in the government and public sectors through monthly SIG meetings for both internal and external consultants.
Who would benefit from attending: Government OD practitioners who work in government or with government clients
Meeting Frequency & Format: Fourth Wednesday of each month - conference call format
Time: 12 noon – 1 pm

SIG Leader Bios:
Katie Rozner has worked for U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for over seven years in both his Las Vegas, NV, and Washington, DC, offices. Currently serving in DC as a Nevada Outreach Coordinator, Katie works with Senator Reid’s state and DC staff to facilitate coordination, strategic planning, and constituent outreach. Katie earned a B.S. in Bio-Psychology and a minor in Health Care/Social Issues from the University of California, San Diego. Katie is a 2013 candidate for a Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) at American University. As such, she is a member of AU’s Cohort 64.
