DC Area OD Practitioners CoP
Topic: The Phenomenon of the Black Panther: A Convergence of Pop Culture and OD
Description: When you see a popular music video, a modern painting or a scene from a meaningful movie, can you visualize it as material for your client system? Join us for an interactive session, which through the lens of the movie Black Panther, illustrates themes, lessons and the benefits of incorporating pop-culture as a relevant intervention tool. This session offers OD practitioners valuable resources for a chance to learn, discuss and reflect on innovative ways to better engage and understand clients, enhance interventions, and deepen OD skills. Participants will be introduced to the Parker Thompson-Mack Pop-Culture Model of Change, a road map to infuse pop-culture in your work with client systems. Black Panther movie clips will be shown.
